Your FAA Medical

For our non-industry visitors to AirLifeTimes, you might be interested to know about the medical-exam side of our profession. Requirements vary, but you could be visiting your best friend—the Aviation Medical Examiner—as often as twice per year! Watch to get familiar with some of these requirements.

To exercise the privileges of your private or commercial pilot certificate, it must be accompanied by an FAA airmen medical certificate. Obtaining your FAA medical is done by visiting a qualified Aviation Medical Examiner, or AME.
