Hurts, doesn’t it? Operating in the high-G environment requires intense training and a high level of physical fitness. Although the centrifuge pictured provides that training, actual protection comes from judicious application of that training and fully-operational equipment. Watch the video of a first-time rider in the rear cockpit of an F-16. When you see the wings fog over, the pilot up front is quite likely racking’ the jet to 9G in a limiter pull. Kudos to the rider for hangin’ tough.
