The mystery of Amelia Earhart has plagued historians for years. In 1937, the legendary aviator disappeared somewhere in the South Pacific while attempting to become the first female pilot to circle the globe. Earhart's path mostly mapped the equator's route. The only other person with her was her navigator, Fred Noonan.
